LEEDS' walking wounded are gearing up for a heavyweight return against Wanderers at the Reebok in their Sky TV clash on Monday week.
Defender Lucas Radebe is poised to make his latest remarkable comeback from injury tonight.
Radebe was seemingly ruled out for months with a serious groin muscle problem in United's 4-1 UEFA Cup second-round second-leg victory over Hapoel Tel-Aviv in Florence three weeks ago.
The South Africa international, who has often played this season despite ongoing knee problems which restrict the length of time he can train and the number of games he can play, has again shown his sensational powers of recovery.
The 33-year-old is due to line-up in a strong reserves side which faces West Brom at Wakefield & Emley's Belle Vue ground as boss Terry Venables' injury crisis starts to ease.
"I have got to say that Lucas Radebe is an amazing person and I feel very proud to be involved with him," said Venables.
"This year we've had so many injuries, not that we've complained about them, but he has played when he's not been fit.
"Lucas always gives everything he's got and he's a true champion, he really is."
Mark Viduka, involved in a public spat with team-mate and fellow Australian Harry Kewell this week, also marks his return from a two-match absence with a foot injury by lining up alongside Robbie Fowler and Michael Bridges in a £23million forward line.
Fowler is still short of full match-fitness after his comeback from a hip injury, with the £11million star due to play in his third game in nine days after a reserve run-out last week and a 10-minute stint at the end of Sunday's 2-1 defeat at home to Charlton.
Midfielder Seth Johnson also plays in his second-successive reserve game after his lay-off with a knee injury and is now pushing for a first-team return.
