A NEW survey has revealed why some teachers choose to work on supply. The survey found 42 per cent of teachers liked the flexibility which allowed them to combine the profession with another career, further study or childcare responsibilities.
Working on supply is increasing in popularity and the Institute for Public Policy and Research has estimated that by 2014 half of the teaching workforce could be supply teachers.
