Turton Rotary Club has announced details of its annual Christmas sleigh run to help brighten up the festive season for hundreds of disadvantaged youngsters in Bolton.

Rotarians will take to the streets and supermarkets of Bolton from the end of November.

A team of snowmen with collecting buckets will join Father Christmas on a specially adapted sleigh to visit streets throughout Bolton.

Rotarian Jim Turner said: "The money raised is going to be used to buy children's Christmas presents for those who may not receive many this year and for senior citizens."
