Wildlife Attractions
For unique views into the aquatic world visit Bolton Museum where there are fantastic fish on display from all over the world, some highly threatened in their natural habitats. From Piranhas to Pufferfish, huge Catfish to tiny Tetras, there are hundreds of fish to come and see in an aquarium designed to allow the fish to behave as they would in the wild. There is now the unique chance to name our new Lungfish from Queensland, Australia, which will be on display in the very near future.
Exhibitions
Homes of Football
This phenomenally popular touring exhibition documents the changing face of football, it has developed, with new pictures and has been described as a fitting tribute to the national game. The spectrum of clubs and scenes is amazing and in World Cup year there are recent pictures of the England team. Bolton Wanderers fans are pictured at both Burnden Park and the Reebok Stadium, alongside many objects from the Museum's collection, including a turnstile and row of seats from Burnden. The exhibition runs until January 11 with extended opening until 8pm every Thursday until Christmas.
