I COULD not quite believe it when I heard that Alan Partridge's jokes at the expense of Norfolk had fallen flatter than the county's own landscape.
The spoof presenter, played by Steve Coogan, proudly fills the "third best slot on Radio Norwich" -- but it seems his constant references to Norfolk are beginning to upset county councillors in the area.
They are now debating whether or not to invite Coogan to Norfolk to witness the more "positive aspects" of the county.
The very suggestion that anyone could be so lacking in humour is so ridiculous that the whole scenario could be easily written into one of the Alan Partridge programmes.
