BOLTON Under 14s made it four games without defeat in the Greater Manchester Schools' Soccer League when they beat Warrington 2-1 at Victoria Park on Saturday.
The locals took the lead after 18 minutes when Kane Bentley fired home from 20 yards but Warrington hit back to level the scores.
And, with Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside watching from the sidelines, Dean Quinn fired home with his first kick of the game to claim the victory.
The U15s returned to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 victory against Warrington at Sharples School.
Warrington dominated the opening 20 minutes but Bolton edged ahead midway through the first half after Alex Mort fired home from 18 yards following good work from John Fairhurst.
Bolton extended their lead ten minutes later with a Billy McGuinness shot to lead 2-0 at the break and they made certain of victory with ten minutes remaining when debutant David Smith rounded the visiting keeper.
Bury U15s suffered a setback, going down 4-1 against Sefton in a challenge match on Merseyside.
Sefton took the lead after 15 minutes but Bury hit back with a goal from Jonathan Waters before making certain of victory midway through the second half.

Meanwhile, Greater Manchester U16s opened their Northern Counties campaign with a 1-0 win againsty Merseyside at Trafford
FC.
It was an evenly contested game throughout but Greater Manchester snatched the winner in the 75th minute when Thomas Caines bundled the ball across the line from a Jamie Kay corner.
