RADCLIFFE Amateurs extended their lead at the top of the Lancashire Amateur League Premiership to eight points when they beat Old Blackburnians 4-2.
It was a hard fought victory for Radcliffe, although they took an early lead through a Scott Hannah 35 yard fizzer, Blackburn came back with two goals to take the lead themselves. For a large part of the game Blackburn looked the better side but Amateurs held out, rode their luck and three second half goals, one from Danny Mossop and a brace from Brett Hannah saw them through to victory.
Radcliffe's seconds suffered a disappointing defeat away to Old Blackburnians Seconds 7-2 with Matt Dunn scoring both goals. The Thirds beat Wyresdale3-1 with goals by Andy Baron and two from Mark Crowther.
