A GOOD turn out of 30 angers fished the Bolton River's annual fur and feather match on Doe Hey and all had their eyes on the prize table which groaned under the weight of nine turkeys, 56 bottles of wine, 72 cans of lager, two bottles of brandy and a bottle of whisk y.
The top three anglers all fished pole but Neil Hampson got the better of the rest with bits for 7lbs-3ozs. John Dunham had a carp which helped to boost his weight to 6lbs-0ozs for second place and Kenny Stewart was third with 4lbs-9ozs of bits taken on bloodworm.
Sections: Roland Stansfield 3-10-0, Bob Fearnhead 3-6-0, Les Collier 2-14-0, Paul Johnson 2-9-0, Neville Gregory 2-3-0, D. Sudworth.
