AN art exhibition with a difference is now on show at Leigh's Turnpike Gallery.
"Time 2 View" features work by nearly 40 young offenders, exploring their perceptions of their own identity and place in society through ceramics, paintings, drawings and sculptures.
The offenders are from two North-west institutions -- Hindley, near Wigan, and Thorn Cross, near Warrington.
John Platt, deputy education manager at Hindley, said "The trainees have worked hard over the past year and the standard of work on display is very high. It certainly exceeds my expectations and they should be very proud of themselves.
"The partnership between Hindley and Wigan and Leigh College is proving very beneficial to young offenders. It gives them the chance to make up for lost time and get their lives back on track through resettlement, either by way of employment, training or education."
"Time 2 View" runs until January 3 at the Turnpike Centre, Civic Square, Leigh.
