I WAS horrified to read about the "maggot farm", proposed for Barrow Bridge, in Ruth Jolley's recent article.
I have lived in this picturesque village for several years. Barrow Bridge is a unique oasis within a busy urban landscape. Many local and international visitors are drawn to this beauty spot throughout the year. Quite simply, the stench and vulgarity of a "maggot farm" is not the best way to advertise the jewel in Bolton's crown.
