THE RSPCA's Bolton branch has launched an appeal to raise funds - asking people to spare a thought for homeless animals at Christmas.
The "Santa Paws" appeal asks people to buy a £1 hologram decoration on which the buyer's name will be placed on the back and displayed on Christmas trees at Bolton's three shops on St George's Rd, Chorley Old Rd and 111 Tonge Moor Road.
Kathy Kay, branch administrator of the Bolton RSPCA, said "The RSPCA exists to prevent suffering to animals. Branch projects go a considerable way to ensuring animal welfare is boosted locally but these can only continue as long as funds are available. We are a nation of animal lovers and I am sure that many people will welcome the opportunity this Christmas to give a gift of support to animal welfare initiatives locally."
