BUS drivers who were planning to strike over pay have called off industrial action after a deal was reached with company management. Drivers with Stagecoach in south Manchester, Trafford, Tameside and Glossop had threatened to strike for a week from Sunday.
But last night they voted in a ballot to accept a new pay deal.
The deal was hammered out between Stagecoach bosses and the Transport and General Workers Union.
