SAM Allardyce says Wanderers have helped Chelsea all they can in their attempt to get Celestine Babayaro off the disciplinary hook.

But the Reebok boss must have been tempted to refuse all requests for co-operation after hearing the Nigerian's amazing attack on Youri Djorkaeff.

Babayaro accused the Frenchman of "play-acting" and "feigning injury" when he went down, appearing to have been elbowed in the face, in the incident that led to his sending off in the second half of last Saturday's 1-1 draw.

Allardyce is no stranger to the appeals procedure, having won one (Campo's second booking at Arsenal was rescinded) and lost two (Gardner and N'Gotty having their cases thrown out) already this season. But on all three occasions he was careful not to implicate opponents.

"We appealed against Bruno's sending off in the West Brom game but we never suggested Jason Roberts feigned injury," he explained. "What Babayaro said was out of order."
