SATURDAY: HENRIK Pededrsen scores his third goal in seven days to give Wanderers a deserved lead against Chelsea at the Reebok but, despite being down to 10 men after having Celestine Babayaro sent off for elbowing Youri Djorkaeff, the Londoners snatch a last-gasp equaliser through Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink.

The point comes at a price with Per Frandsen missing the second half with a hamstring injury.

MONDAY

SAM Allardyce praises his players for their performance against Chelsea but slams them for dropping their guard at the end and squandering two priceless points. Djorkaeff brands Babayaro "stupid" for making the challenge that earned him a red card, insisting referee Mike Dean was right to send him off.

TUESDAY

CHELSEA ask Wanderers for help with Babayaro's appeal against his red card. They ask for any in-house video footage that would clear the defender.

WEDNESDAY

PAUL Warhurst, a former Manchester City rookie and still a true Blue fan, looks forward to making an emotional return to Maine Road in Saturday's derby duel. The Wanderers ace confirmed his recovery from a long-standing groin problem with a successful return to first team action in the Chelsea game. Wanderers' crash out of the FA Youth Cup, losing their 4th round tie 1-0 at home to Cambridge United. Protesting his innocence, Babayaro accuses Djorkaeff of "play-acting" and "feigning injury" to get him sent off.

THURSDAY

ALLARDYCE reacts angrily to Babayaro's claim, insisting that video evidence clearly shows the Chelsea man elbowed Djorkaeff and maintaining that it is not in the Frenchman's nature to feign injury. Dean Holdsworth joins Coventry on a month's loan.

FRIDAY

ALLARDYCE, worried that Wanderers are in danger of being cast adrift in the relegation zone, confirms he will be asking his board to sanction two loan deals - one for a striker, one a defender - when the transfer window opens in January. Holdsworth has mixed feelings about his move to Coventry but says he agreed to the move for "football" and "family" reasons.
