THE parents of a schoolgirl who persistently failed to attend classes have been ordered to pay fines and court costs totalling £400.
Ian Donahue and Janet Lowe, of Lever Street, Radcliffe, were convicted by magistrates in Bury of failing to ensure their child regularly attended Derby High School.
The bench was told that the youngster had been in school three times out of a possible 80 between June and September. Donahue and Lowe were fined £125 each and ordered to pay £100 court costs each.
