THE Mooneys have been much in evidence in recent matches.
Frances Mooney has helped Egerton to a good run, showing all the traits of the family: gentle pushes and lobs to "persuade" the point but if those fail, resorting to an avenging forehand.
Meanwhile Anne Mooney represented Bolton School B against Guild Hall, winners of four successive matches. The latter's Mark Johns spent the early part of the match testing Mrs Mooney with a series of elegant drop shots but she responded with a series of disguised passing shots and volleys.
In the end, however, Guild Hall stretched their run to win s to five games, emerging 33-22 winners.
Division One: Holcombe Brook A 37 Walmersley A 22.
Division Two: David Lloyd A 40 Harwood 13,
Division Three: Bradshaw 34 MGB 23; Guild Hall A 33 Bolton School B 22.
