Horwich RMI Harrier Paul Muller recorded his best 10km road time of the year as he surged to a fabulous win in last Saturday's Wesham event with a terrific winning margin of 53 seconds.
Paul made his move on the climb at 4km, leaving second-placed Jonathon Prowse of Blackpool, a sub four minute 1500m runner, trailing in his wake.
His victory was followed up with a tremendous fourth-place finish in Sunday's Guy's 10-mile Road Race near Garstang, in a time of 52.46, 1st vet, only four seconds slower than in the recent Preston race.
Suzanne Budgett and Brendan Bolland both had excellent runs in last Saturday's final Red Rose Cross-Country fixture at Marl Pits, Rossendale. Suzanne finished as fourth lady and Brendan was runner up in the men's race.
The tough hilly course was made all the more challenging by sections of deep mud and water but these two Harriers showed fine form and determination to lead their teams home.
Suzanne was not only fourth lady overall but also first lady over 35, leading the Harrier ladies and lady vet teams to yet more team victories.
Senior Harriers recording category wins were Jane Derbyshire, L40, Mary White, L50, and Steve Jackson, V45.
In the junior races, Rachel Thompson continued her excellent season with a fine second place in the U17 Womens Race.
