In a match in aid of St Ann's Hospice, at the Shirt Club, Radcliffe, losing only one game all night to the winners of the Bill Lennard Memorial Cup, the Little Lever Workingmen's Club A David Owen (Capt), Jack Hardy, Paul Green, Jack Ball, Steve Crossland and Jim Rhodes.
The Bill Lennard Memorial Lancashire Men's Cup was won by Lancashire B team Brian McAllister (Capt), Steve McKinney, Jim Warburton, David Savery, David Swindells and Steve Crossland.
The David Pearson Memorial Lancashire Ladies Cup was won by Lancashire B team Pat Middleton (Capt), Patricia Carter, Janet Green, Deanne Hancock, Kay Boyes and Jackie Kryworok.
In the Lancashire high score competition the following won trophies -- Alison Redburn 96, Steve Whittaker 100, David Swindells 100, Andy Baldwin 100, Jim Warburton 100, Cyril Green 100, Craig Parkinson 100, Andy Berry 100, Ian Grime 115, Jackie Kryworok 120, David Parker 140, David Owen 140.
A cheque for £1000 was presented to St Ann's Hospice by Great Britain half-marathon champion Paul Freary.
The cups and trophies were presented by Councillor Tony Connell and the match raised £252 for St Ann's Hospice.
