A GROUP of teenage entrepreneurs will be jetting off for the bright lights of San Francisco next year after winning a national business competition.
Ruth Abbott, Beth Green, Lisa Griffiths and Charlotte Jepp of Bolton School Girls' Division, beat off four other teams in the prestigious competition, organised by Deutsche Bank, to win the four night holiday.
Hundreds of schools from all over the country entered the competition, which involved pupils forming teams, thinking of a business idea and then submitting a business plan and applying for a loan from an international bank.
The girls had to set up an internet firm - they formed a company called "E-DO$H" - and submitted a business plan allowing young people to buy products online. Charlotte, aged 17, from Heaton, said: "We're over the moon."
