CHRISTMAS is just around the corner, but in all the excitement, Bolton's Destitute Animal Shelter is urging people not to forget about our four-legged friends.
Sam Gardiner, a worker at the Northolt Drive, Great Lever, centre is promoting its annual plea for donations of food, bedding or basically anything for the cats and dogs in their care.
They are keen for food, particularly tins of Chappie, Butcher's tripe, Winalot chunks in jelly, chicken and rice complete meal, Whiskas cat food, any complete cat food, and last, but not least, gravy granules. All donations can be posted or dropped into the centre. Or contact Karen or Zoe on 01204 526486.
