IT'S the Santa lights fantastic for the 18th year running for Christmas fanatic Kay Moore.

Kay, aged 52, and her husband Tommy, aged 56, have been decorating their South Drive home in Harwood since they moved in 18 years ago and are now renowned for their festive spirit.

It all began with a Christmas tree on the veranda and each year since something else has been added. Now you can barely see the bricks for lights, tinsel and figures, not to mention this year's centrepiece -- an 8ft inflatable Santa. And the reason behind it all...they just enjoy doing it!

Kay said: "We said we weren't going to do it this year, but everyone insisted, especially our 28-year-old son Ian and his wife Kelly, so we gave into temptation again. We are known locally as the fun house!"

Despite claiming this will be the last year, Kay confessed that they probably won't stop until they eventually move house.

"The balcony is the main feature and is ideal, but we'd like a bungalow really. I just hope that whoever buys this house when we sell it continues the tradition."

If they do move, the plan is to keep Christmas decorations to a minimum, but they will not be giving up everything.

She added: "The first piece we bought was the reindeer and sleigh and it definitely has the most sentimental value as Ian chose it when he was 12. Unfortunately, the bulbs are going and nowhere seems to stock the right ones, but we still put it out.

"The only thing I'm bothered about is when we have grandchildren. It would break my heart if we weren't able to do it for them, but at least we have the photos."
