MEMBERS of Bolton Youth Brass Band showed they were more of a match for anyone when they entertained the crowds at the Reebok Stadium at the weekend.
The young musicians performed before the derby match between Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers.
Their appearance was one of many planned for the musicians from Bolton music Service in the run-up to Christmas.
On Saturday Bolton Youth Orchestra presents Operatic Favourites at Thornleigh Salesian College, 7.30pm, when the programme will include pieces by Bizet, Brahms, Delius, Kodaly, Mozart and Mascagni.

The following day, Sunday, there is a return to Thornleigh, at 7pm. Bolton Junior Youth Orchestra joins forces with ensembles from Thornleigh including the Symfonia, Junior Orchestra, Beginners Brass and choirs.
Tickets, £4 and £2 concessions, are from Bolton Music Service and Thornleigh.
Bolton Youth Concert Bands present a Christmas Concert in the Lion of Vienna Suite at the Reebok Stadium on Tuesday, December 17, at 7pm.
In addition to an exciting programme of music, there will be an annual presentation of awards given for musicianship, endeavour and commitment by Mayor of Bolton, Cllr John Walsh.
Admission is by ticket only, from Bolton Music Service.
