MOTORISTS taking a short cut across a dual carriageway have been warned they are dicing with death. Drivers on the Edenfield by-pass, near Rawtenstall, are crossing the central reservation to avoid rush hour queues.
They are putting themselves at risk from fast vehicles coming the other way, says Lancashire county council which is planning to install barriers to stop motorists making the manoeuvre.
