LAST year's pantomime at Bolton's Albert Halls broke all previous box office records . . . so this year the same formula for success is being used to create a new show.
Dick Whittington stars many of the favourites from last year's show.
It is produced once again by Duggie Chapman Associates and stars Granada television's Paul Crone as Idle Jack.
Bernard Wrigley returns, teaming up with Paul Fairclough. Bolton also welcomes back Tam Ryan as Dick Whittington, but it is a first Albert Halls appearance for Marie Baines as Alice.
Every pantomime needs a baddie, and they do not come more evil than King Rat, played by Marcus Knibbs.
Mervyn Francis is Alderman Fitzwarren, the wealthy father of Alice who gives our hero his first job in London. The larger than life Andrew Oldham will be donning the frocks as Sarah the Cook.
Speciality act Van Buren will this year bring magic and mystery, together with a collection of colourful puppets to the proceedings, while Lofty the Lion is guaranteed to get youngsters cheering.
The production is in association with the Bolton Evening News and Tower FM, and runs until January 5. Tickets are from the box office on 334400.
