DOBBIES closed the gap at the top to one point in Division One of the Over 35s league with an excellent 4-0 away win at Cross Keys.

Turton moved into third place thanks to a 2-1 home win against Dobbies B with goals from Ronnie Brook and Chris Locke offsetting one from Green.

Willows also showed their goal power beating Colliers Rest 3-1 away.

In Division Two, Hare Athletic got back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory at home to the Newmarket. Daten AFC and Horwich Town drew 1-1 and Hayward Old Boys were convincing 2-0 winners at home to Bay Mare Strollers.

Bolton Wyresdale beat Walkden Wrecks 2-0 thanks to two from Kavanagh, a result that moved them off the bottom. Walkden Inter's game against Seven Stars was lost to the weather.

In Division Three only one match survived. Bottom Bulls Head and Founders Arms fought out a goalless draw with both goalkeepers sharing the man of the match award.

All the other matches were postponed because of the weather.
