I WOULD like to reply to your correspondent, Mervyn Simmonds, who took to being rude and critical in the "Letters" published in the Bolton Evening News on Tuesday, December 3.
I can assure him I do "go around with both eyes open" and I try to read articles carefully!
He has totally missed the point of my letter.
I too am an animal lover and did not criticise the councillors for their actions of trying to control the fouling problem by instant fines and he will see this if he were to read the letter again.
The points he listed are quite irrelevant to my letter, except the one concerning the poison issue.
These faeces have the ability of causing blindness to a child in certain circumstances.
From the tone of his last sentence it would seem that Mr Symonds feels persecuted.
