BURY Council has launched its annual drive to bring an extra bit of cheer to children and young people in care this Christmas.
Every year, churches and organisations across the borough donate toys and gifts for distribution among the youngsters.
Staff member Cassie Whittingham said: "We are looking for good-as-new toys for the younger children, as well as gifts which would be more suitable for teenagers who often tend to get forgotten." Gifts and toys can be left at Bury Town Hall, or alternatively with Social Services at Craig House in Bank Street, Bury.
This Christmas, Bury Social Services's Children and Families Section is hoping to encourage even more local people to give generously.
