WANDERERS supporters in Scotland will compete in a seven-a-side football competition this weekend.
Ten teams from west central Scotland will meet on Sunday, with BWFC Scotland the only representatives of an English team taking part in the Winter Sevens competition.
The team have been preparing for the crunch event with a sequence of warm-up fixtures over the past few weeks. Results have not been going the way of the Whites, however, after consecutive defeats to a Citroen select seven followed by a Partick Thistle supporters team.
Team coach Andy Hall said: "We've had some promising starts but our fitness has let us down over the course of these games.
"The matches in the Winter Sevens contest are only 10 minutes long, so we're hoping that this will work to our advantage."
BWFC Scotland will kick-off the competition, which takes place at Battery Park in Greenock, against Greenock Morton at 1pm on Sunday.
