THE hit and run thug who killed a child of six on New Year's Eve, and caused the death of a friend in another car smash 12 years ago, has a history of 89 previous convictions and two life bans.

What is the matter with our justice system? These judges have the power to give thugs like this much more stiffer sentences. A judge should be a man who gives them what they deserve. How can a man with 89 known convictions be walking about our streets a free man, and, more importantly, why does somebody have to die for these things to be brought to attention?

Today judges are making enemies of the general public. For God's sake, use the guts you were born with before more innocent people die.
