PRIMARY school pupils had a chance to become mini caterers and find out how to run their own shop for the day.
The pupils from St Joseph's Primary School in Bolton have been visiting local businesses to help inspire their sessions in the school's role play area.
The reception class have visited a supermarket, post office and on their latest visit they learned how to make snacks, read signs and add-up at a sandwich shop.
Joanne Jones, who runs the Nice Buns Big Baps shop opposite the school in Shepherd Cross Street, Halliwell, invited the youngsters in to show them how she runs her business as she has a four-year-old daughter in the reception class.
Reception teacher, Kathleen Ashworth, said: "The children love going on visits anywhere and especially in shops because there's so much to see.
"They are now going to set-up their own little cafe with plastic food and pretend sandwiches back at school."
