GUESTS at the Mayor's Charter Charity Ball will be told dinner is served in spectacular style tonight - with a fireworks display.
The ball is being held at the Reebok Stadium to mark the 750th anniversary of the granting olf Bolton's Charter.
Guests at the event will be called to their five-course dinner at about 7.40pm by a firework display which will light up the night sky for three or four minutes. The evening will be a celebration of Bolton life and history and will include sketches performed by Bolton Little Theatre and live music and dancing.
Gareth Moors, commercial director of Bolton Wanderers said: "The fireworks are to be released as part of the celebrations. While people are enjoying their drinks, they will be able to see the fireworks go off on the pitch."
The glittering ball is based around nine key themes from Bolton's past, ranging from Bolton Wanderers to Samuel Crompton who invented the spinning mule.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the Bolton Coronary Care Appeal.
