DID you know that Peter Kay uses locations in Farnworth to film his award-winning Phoenix Nights series? Or that Oliver Cromwell's New Model Army used land in Bradshaw as an encampment during the English Civil War?
These are some of the fascinating facts included in a new series of leaflets painting a picture of Bolton's electoral wards. The six Area Profiles pamphlets have been produced by Bolton Council in a bid to stimulate local debate about issues and priorities.
The documents contain information about all aspects of life in the wards, from the type of housing available, play schemes, recycling facilities and road works. There is also has a map and a list of key contacts.
To receive a copy, call the Area Co-ordinators Team on 01204 331252.
This is the first time such publications have been produced in Bolton.
