UNCONVENTIONAL, alternative and a free spirit are just some of the words to describe artist Alexander Graham Sinclair.
And visitors to his latest exhibition at Prestwich Library will not be disappointed to find those qualities reflected in his work.
Mr Sinclair's paintings are in oil colour and he uses luminous paint and lighting to enhance the exhibits, creating a bright and colourful display, a welcome relief from the winter blues.
Born in Scotland, Mr Sinclair (36) settled in Greater Manchester around 13 years ago and has lived in Whitefield for the past three years.
Well travelled and talented, the artist, of Leicester Road, has performed alternative music and poetry in this country, the Netherlands and California and he has spent time in Germany and Amsterdam.
But for the past ten years he has struggled with agoraphobia and spends much of his time indoors focusing on his artwork.
Mr Sinclair, pictured with one of his works on show, said: "I suppose my work is influenced by the fact that I am agoraphobic and my paintings exist in another world, away from McDonald's, for example!"
Mr Sinclair's exhibition, entitled "Terrytoreitall", will run in the exhibition room at the Longfield Centre library until February 28.
