BOLTON Table Tennis League Premier Division leaders Ramsbottom A increased their advantage over Hilton Tameside with a 8-1 win over Hilton A.
Tameside were also comfortable winners, scoring a 7-2 triumph in their match with bottom team Mosses.
The three Ramsbottom players Mike Moir, Mark Ramsbottom and Andy Jackson are one, two, and three in the Top Ten competition on 29, 28 and 24 wins respectively.
Darren Howarth scored three wins for Farnworth in their 6-3 win at Cricketers, as did Ron Durose for Little Lever, who won 7-2 at Wharton, and Lostock won a close match with Rammy B 5-4.
Only two results were received in Division One. Significantly, in the meeting of the two top teams, Nomads won a hard fought match against top team Carlton 5-4, thanks to a treble by Craig Johnson and two wins by Dennis Collier, who both beat Top Ten leader Kevin Chapman.
This win leaves Nomads eight points behind with two matches in hand.
Elsewhere Mosses confortably won 7-2 at Ladybridge, which included a treble by Nigel Shields.
In Division Two the 6-3 win by Ramsbottom at Rushtons brings them level on points on the top of the table with Little Lever C, who have played one match less. The match featured three wins by Top Ten leader Derrick Buckley for Ramsbottom.
The two top teams in Division Three both scored maximum points giving leaders Meadow Hill A an eight point advantage over Ladybridge D, with Hilton F in third place a further four points behind but with two matches in hand.
Division Four leaders Hilton I scored a useful 6-3 win over Heaton F, which included three wins by Alan Revell, which gives them a four point advantage over Hilton J who are second in the table.

Phil Yates was in good form for Meadow Hill with his treble proving decisive in their 5-4 win at Hilton L. And there were three wins apiece for Alan and Phil Calvert in the 7-2 win by Bolton Evening News B at Heaton G. A treble by Gilbert Wilkinson helped Hilton K to their 7-2 win at Jubilee.
Lee Davenport is the Top Ten leader with a one-win advantage over John Birchall Snr and Phil Yates.
