AN ambulance which transports sick children will be named after a Bolton nightclub which raised around £5,000 for a charity.
The first-aid vehicle will carry the name of Atlantis, after revellers at the Eagley Brook Way-based club raised cash by holding truck pulls and bucket collections.
An appearance from chart star Romeo also helped increase the amount raised. The money went to the Children's Hospitals Appeal Trust (CHAT), which buys equipment used in ambulances which transport poorly youngsters.
Elizabeth Oakes, charity spokesperson, said: "This shows how the young local community can support our work as well as having a lot of fun in the process and we would like to say a huge thank you to you all." Mark Law, general manager at Atlantis, said: "We have been quite active with the charity because it is relevant and helps local children."
If you would like to help CHAT call 0161 276 8700.
