HEMLATA DESAI of St Leonard's Avenue, Lostock, writes: "What a success -- thank you for the short pieces you published in the Old Pals section regarding Hayward 20 Year Grammar School Reunion which was held in November at the Moat House, Bolton.
It brought Forms W, X, Y and Z back together after 20 years. All went as planned and it was an astounding success -- the party continued till 2am and beyond. Not only did it bring many old pupils and teachers together, but the event also raised £162 for Bolton Hospice.
We were pleased to see that so many people had made great effort and had come from far and wide to attend (many came from the South-east and Pembrokeshire). The committee would like to thank everyone who helped to bring us all back together for a memorable night; Asda, Warner Villages & Warburton's for their kind contribution towards the raffle, and The Moat House for all their hard work." hem- richard.dc@virgin.net
