Wanderers (4-3-3)
JUSSI JAASKELAINEN ... 8
Superb performance despite mistake for their goal. Four great saves kept Wanderers in the game.
ANTHONY BARNESS ... 7
Got a great reception from his old fans and proved he is as strong and resilient as they remember him.
GUDNI BERGSSON ... 7
Tough, organised and hardly put a foot wrong. The usual story.
MIKE WHITLOW ... 6
Lucky to get away with a slip that almost cost Wanderers the game. Otherwise strong.
SIMON CHARLTON ... 8
Great defending, quality distribution and a major influence on the side.
KEVIN NOLAN ... 6
Not at his best but worked hard and knows the job. Like to see him threatening goal more.
PER FRANDSEN ... 7
Another 90 minute display of putting his foot in, winning possession and an assist for the goal.
RICARDO GARDNER ... 6
Effective defending but so much better attacking when Wanderers were chasing the game.
YOURI DJORKAEFF ... 8
World class goal and several flashes of top quality. Getting back to his best.
HENRIK PEDERSEN ... 6
Needs a goal badly but did lots of good work outside the box.
MICHAEL RICKETTS ... 6
Sweated for the cause and did important defending but got no service to threaten goal.
SUBS: Kevin Poole, Bernard Mendy 7 (for Pedersen 68 mins), Bruno N'Gotty, Ivan Campo, Delroy Facey (for Barness 77 mins).

Action shots
15 mins: Michael Ricketts shows pace, power and heart to beat Mark Fish to a cross and thump a header wide. Whites start is lively and determined.
20 mins: Radostin Kishishev brings the home crowd to life with a crashing 25-yard shot over the bar.
22 mins: Counter attacking Claus Jensen has the freedom of the right wing to home in on Jussi Jaaskelainen and bring an excellent save out of his old team-mate.
25 mins: It's Jussi to the rescue again with a flying one-handed tip around the post from another former team-mate Fish's powerful header. Charlton suddenly well on top.
37 mins: A weak Pedersen header tolls tamely to keeper Dean Kiely but at least it constitutes Wanderers first strike on target. Whites lack any kind of cutting edge so far but are showing tons of effort.
44 mins: Wanderers produce their first serious chance with a stinging 18-yard shot by Kevin Nolan that Chris Powell threw himself in front of, deflecting it narrowly wide.
45 mins: Thank goodness for Jaaskelainen as he grabs hold of Kevin Lisbie's close range and slightly miss-hit shot.
Wanderers are happy, fortunate and grateful to Jaaskelainen to reach half time level.
Half time: Charlton 0 Wanderers 0
GOAL
47 mins: Wanderers cannot clear a Jensen free kick and Fish capitalises by poking the ball in off the post. It has been coming and the Whites now have a real job on their hands to turn this one around.
59 mins: Euell curls a shot just wide as the game opens up. Second half is light years more entertaining than the first but that's no consolation to the trailing Wanderers.
66 mins: Simon Charlton rescues Wanderers with superb defending. It's two against one as Charlton counter but Charlton jockeys and gets a vital touch to Scott Parker's attempted cross to a free man in the middle.Wanderers are hanging on at one end and not looking like scoring at the other.
82 mins: Wanderers and Whitlow are so lucky when the defender's slip lets in Jason Euell but his composure eludes him with only Jaaskelainen to beat and his shot goes wide of the post.
GOAL
85 mins: Wouldn't you know it. Wanderers score with their first dangerous attack of the game. And what a goal, Youri Djorkaeff controlling Per Frandsen's high ball on his chest and lashing in a magnificent overhead kick. His fourth goal in three games against Charlton.
Full time: Charlton 1 Wanderers 1
