DOBBIES went top of Division One in the Bolton Sports Federation Over 35s League after a convincing 5-1 win at home to Cross Keys.
Two goals from G Howarth helped the cause.
Stand Athletic moved into third place with a 5-0 beating of Colliers Rest, aided by a Phil Wheelhouse hat-trick.
The remaining fixtures in Division One were lost to the weather.
In Division Two, Hare Athletic continued their push for the title with a convincing 6-1 win away at the Bay Mare Strollers; Paul Hill's hat trick doing most of the damage.
Hayward Old Boys kept up the pressure on them by beating Seven Stars 4-3 but almost squandered a 4-0 half time lead before clinging on for the points.
Horwich Town remain a point behind Hayward after thumping the Newmarket 8-1, thanks mainly to a G Lofthouse hat-trick.
Daten AFC relinquished a two-goal lead to eventually lose 3-2 at home to Bolton Wyresdale.
Division Three pace setters Ainsworth Fossils continued their good run of form with a 2-1 away win at Urmston MC, but the Bottom Bulls Head look likely to push them all the way after beating Dobbies 'C' 5-1.
Harper Green was the place to see some goals where the Founders Arms beat Westhoughton Wingates 7-5 in a thoroughly entertaining game.
The remaining two fixtures were lost to the weather.
