A PENSIONER from Liverpool was due to arrive in Switzerland today to have his life ended at a pro-euthanasia clinic.
Reg Crew, aged 71, from Hunts Cross, has had motor neurone disease for the last four years.
He has arranged to travel to a clinic in Zurich, organised by Dignitas, a campaigning group which advertises its services on the internet.
It is illegal in the UK for patients to ask doctors to kill them. The British Medical Association opposes euthanasia.
