YOURI Djorkaeff's overhead kick at Charlton on Saturday was hailed as a "master strike" by boss Sam Allardyce.
The French ace received possession of the ball at chest height from a Per Frandsen cross in the 85th minute of the Premiership encounter at The Valley.
He showed great skill in controlling the ball before lashing in a magnificent overhead kick, giving goalkeeper Dean Kiely no chance.
It was a goal to grace any match and this week was named Goal of the Week by BBC on-line.
It was a spectacular example of the player's technique and daring, but was it the best goal ever scored by a player in a Wanderers shirt?
Many fans remember Frank Worthington's superb effort against Ipswich in 1979 as one of the best goals ever seen at Burnden Park.
But there were others such as Dean Crombie's in the Sherpa Van Trophy final at Wembley, Alan Thompson's in the Coca-Cola Cup Final and Kevin Nolan's equaliser at Old Trafford before Wanderers went on to beat United last season.
We have chosen our Wanderers top ten but there were others that were considered.
Such as Gudni Bergsson's long range shot against Barnsley in 1997 and a goal Frank Worthington scored at QPR in 1979, one he thought was his best goal ever.
