CHILDREN who are struggling with difficult events in their lives will be able to access help at school, thanks to a counselling service.
The National Children's Home charity will be providing a qualified counsellor at 12 primary schools in Bolton, offering support to youngsters in need.
Until now NCH's children's support has only been offered from the project base in Bury.
Kathy Brown, project manager of the NCH Family Mediation and Children's Support Service in Greater Manchester, said: "We think that all children who are going through a hard time have the right to free and easy access to advice and information.
"Until now children have had to come to us or rely on the website for help. Now we can go to them, offering wider support in a familiar environment at a convenient time."
