A 57-YEAR-OLD man was attacked by two robbers armed with knifes and axes during an attempted raid on business premises in Bury.
The worker from Mail UK, in Whitefield, was taken to North Manchester General Hospital suffering from a four inch wound to his head and cuts to his left wrist. He was kept in hospital overnight.
He was locking up the premises in Bury Old Road at about 6pm yesterday when four masked men forced their way through the back door.
While two of the robbers ran inside the building, the other two men started attacking the mail worker. They escaped empty-handed.
