WITH reference to the story in the Bolton Evening News, January 17, referring to the uncertain future of Hulton Lane Hospital.
I hear that the closure has already started, that some patients and staff from Hulton Lane Hospital are now occupying wards N3 and N4 at The Royal Bolton Hospital. If this is true, what is the purpose of the proposed two upcoming public meetings to debate its future?
Is this another case of "we can tell the public anything, they will believe us until it's all over bar the shouting, then they can't do anything about it" syndrome?
This seems a typical attitude nowadays towards public opinion, which seems to count for nothing. This goes for Government, town councils and big business organisations alike.
