NANTES president Jean-Luc Gripond has warned Wanderers to move quickly if they want Pierre Yves Andre, the club's striker.

The 28-year-old, who has played just six games this season, returned to France on Tuesday but neither he nor Gripond have heard anything from Bolton since.

"The English clubs are the only buyers on the European market and as a consequence they might try to use their position to make us and the player wait," Gripond said.

"But even if we are open to a loan deal, we are not happy to sell or lend in a rush.

"We are going to push them (Bolton) a little bit by the end of the week.

"It has also been agreed with Pierre-Yves that he would not go back to England on trial again.

"He is not going to go round the whole country, this is not the way to treat a good player."

Andre, who joined Nantes in 2001 and has scored six goals in 36 matches for the club, turned down a chance to move to Sunderland last summer.

Lyon centre-back Florent Laville has also been on trial at the Reebok.
