TWO of the North-west's best known combinations -- both from Westhoughton -- join forces on stage for an evening of music, comedy and entertainment.
The Houghton Weavers are joining Wingates Band for a concert at Chorley Town Hall on Saturday, January 25, 7.30pm.
This begins a special year for Wingates Band which celebrates its 130th anniversary. A new CD album is planned plus an illustrated brochure and local exhibitions, featuring historic photographs and other archive material. The band is one of the oldest and most successful, with a proud contest record including seven British Open Championship wins and four British National Championship victories.
