CARTERS Arms consolidated their position in the Bolton Sunday League Premier Division with a goal spree against Bowling Green.
The former Horwich Sunday League side took immediate control and tore the Bowling Green defence apart with a series of lightening attacks.
In the end Green collapsed under the barrage and Carters went on to record an emphatic 9-1 win.
That was not the highest score of the day as teams got back into ac tion after the enforced weather break.
Doffcocker took the scoring honours with a 12-0 win over Clifton Rangers, Damien Smith grabbing four goals, Mick Smith a hat-trick, two each from Dean Taylor and Barry Suding with another from John Kay.
Horwich Victoria were also on the goal trail beating Hare and Hounds, Stoneclough 6-2 while Griffin edged home 3-2 in a thriller against Seven Stars, Anthony Blackburn, Tony Astbury and Shaun Whorlow finding the target with a Wayne Jenkins double the only consolation for the losers.
Bottom Bull were the toast of the First Division as they registered a 5-0 win over luckless Cherry Tree Park.
Goalscorers for Bull were Phil Walton, Kevin Morefield, Dave Cope, Andy Wilson and Mick Smith,
Goals from Simon Tubbs. Dean Ramsbottom and Steve Young earned Farnworth Whites a 3-1 win over Farmers Arms, Ben Andrews providing the reply.
Wigan Pier edged home 3-2 against Smithills, Matt Riley and Martin Convey scored for the Bolton side.
