POLICE today appealed for information about burglars who stole property worth thousands of pounds from three homes during a four-hour crime spree.
Although police are not officially linking the incidents, a spokesman revealed they are looking for a black Renault Clio seen in the area at the time.
It is believed the thieves struck first at Kingsway, Euxton, when they forced a rear patio door and stole jewellery worth £300.
Burglars then broke into a house in Camomile Close, Euxton, and made off with jewellery worth £2,245.
Finally, a house in Foxglove Drive, Whittle-le-Woods, was targeted and raiders took an undisclosed amount of property.
Detective Constable Gareth Stockley said the close proximity of the homes suggested a link. "It would be fairly easy for someone to have maybe travelled off the motorway and broken into all three.
"We want information about a black Renault Clio seen close to the incidents."
