SAM Allardyce has banned a national newspaper over a "fabricated" Michael Ricketts story.
The Wanderers boss was riled by the report which he felt had an unsettling effect on Ricketts.
He has immediately banned the paper from the Reebok and says he will do the same to any other paper which, he says, makes up stories.
He said: "I picked Michael Ricketts to play and the first thing he does in the morning is pick up the paper and reads what I am supposed to have said.
"If I had enough money I would sue them but, unfortunately, I haven't.
"But they will not be allowed at the Reebok. They are gone and so will anybody else if they write things like that. It was fabricated."
