STAR of Phoenix Nights and former North-west Comedian of the Year, Dave Spikey, has added an extra date to his stand up show at Chorley town hall.
Best known for his role as Peter Kay's long suffering sidekick, Jerry St Claire in the hit Channel Four show, the comic broke all records at the venue when tickets sold out in three days for his initial stand up performance on Friday, May 30.
But now it has been announced another show will take place, on Friday May 23.
Dave will also be performing at the Bolton Octagon on Friday February 28 as part of a special comedy one-nighter.
The former Royal Bolton Hospital employee has also decided to make the event a fundraiser, with all the proceeds going to his favourite animal home in the town.
Chorley Council's executive member for culture, Cathy Hoyle, said: "We are pleased that Whittle-based Dave has got a large local following and support, which was borne out in our cultural strategy web poll when over 3,000 people voted for him as the town's face of culture."
She added: "He has taken a great interest in the cultural strategy planning and was keen in promoting drama opportunities for young people in the borough.
Tickets for the Chorley show are available from 01257 515599. Tickets for the Octagon show are priced £10 and £12 and are available by calling 01204 520661.
