A MODEL of a proposed new sculpture to mark the success of last year's Commonwealth Games is to be unveiled.
If planning permission is approved, Thomas Heatherwick's sculpture "B of the Bang" will be the tallest structure in the UK, standing at 22m high.
It was commissioned to stand next to the City of Manchester Stadium in the east of the city.
The wooden replica will go on display at Manchester Town Hall's Sculpture Hall.
